AB Very  rare  form  of  muscular  dystrophy  that  affects  females  more  often  than  males.  Clinically,  patients  present  with  ptosis,  external  ophthalmoplegia,  and  absence  of  intestinal  peristalsis,  leading  to  abdominal  pain,  diarrhea,  constipation,  malabsorption,  and  progressive  intestinal  pseudoobstruction.
