AB Tables  AII–1  and  AII–2  present  a  perspective  on  drug-drug  interactions  as  examined  by  the  effect  that  one  drug  (the  perpetrator)  can  have  on  the  area  under  the  plasma  concentration  versus  time  curve  (AUC)  of  another  drug  (the  victim).  The  cutoff  value  of  5-fold  change  in  the  AUC  of  the  victim  drug  was  chosen  in  order  to  focus  these  tables  on  clinically  significant  drug-drug  interactions  that  would  generally  contraindicate  the  coadministration  of  the  drugs  or  at  least  require  dosage  adjustment.
