AB A  genetic  disorder  characterized  by  platelet  disorder  (thrombocytopenia  with  giant  platelets),  nephritis  and  subsequently  renal  failure,  and  sensorineural  deafness.  The  renal  and  hearing  abnormalities  are  indistinguishable  from  those  observed  in  Fechtner  Syndrome  and  Alport  Syndrome  (see  “Other  conditions  to  be  considered”).
